Becoming mother and giving birth to a child is the dream of every woman. In doing so she completes the family and next generation comes to world. Today I am writing about a unique event that took place in October 1941 in USA. In 1941 world’s oldest mother gave birth to a child. The mothers name was Mrs. Pace and she gave birth at the age of 73 years. She lived in Rose Hill, Virginia, USA and her husband Mr. Steve Pace was the father of the child.

A data processing normally consists of a number of basic processing operations performed in some order.

First step involved in data processing is the recording. Recording basically means transferring of data onto some form of document. It occurs not only during the origination step and during the distribution step but throughout the processing cycle, for example recording of the final results.

I have been writing about possible reasons of democracy failure in Pakistan and this is my third such article. In today’s article I shall highlight another important factor that is the possible cause of democracy failure in Pakistan and it is dictatorship within the political parties functioning in Pakistan.

The following terms are the modes of electronic data processing:

1. Real Time Processing:

A real time processing is one in which the data is processed without any significant delay. The computer waits for the input and as soon as the data is received it is processed and the result can be produced quickly.

2. Batch Processing:

The following three terms described below are part of the expanded data processing cycle.

1. Origination:

In this step original data is collected on certain documents which are known as the source documents. For example student record (roll no., name, address, marks, class, age). In case of error this original document is referred. During processing some information is required or some information is to be written on the storage.

2. Storage:

According to size computers can be divided into following types:

1. Super Computers:

Super computers are the fastest, largest and costliest computers available. The speed is in the 100 million instructions per second range. They tend to be used for specific applications in weather forecasting, aircraft design and nuclear research. Super computers are sometimes used for time sharing as well. Memory size is in hundreds of megabytes.

2. Mainframe Computers:

Computer is an electric device which can process data at very high speed. Computers can be classified into various categories based on their use, size, function and internal processing.

Classification According to Internal Processing:

According to internal processing computers can be classified into three main types namely digital computers, analog computers and hybrid computers.

1. Digital Computers:
 

BASIC is one of the programming languages used in computers for software development. BASIC stands for Beginners All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Codes. It is a general purpose high level programming language. The basic design philosophy of the language was and continues to be ease of use.
